I have had hands on experience in a lab environment in multiple projects, including population genetics, that are through the ODU Tick Team led by Dr. Holly Gaff. While participating in the BIOL 380\/381 at ODU I was selected to begin an undergraduate research project based on possible heteroplasmy. These projects are still ongoing, and we are expecting to be published once it is completed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"margin: 0px;color: #000000;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">Along with working in the lab, I have participated in the ODU Women\u2019s Rugby Club and worked part-time as a PASS leader for General Biology; all while placing on the Dean\u2019s List every semester since I started my college career.
