Propaganda Lesson
Propaganda is a common part of modern media, but many students do not know what it is beyond a social media video. Propaganda is regularly used in the media and across the multiple channels that students frequent to convince them to feel and think certain ways. The frequency of its use ensure that students see it, and it is so important that we teach why the identification of propaganda is important. It is important for students to realize that they can be impacted by this information and how it works. This worksheet accompanied the introductory lesson to ensure that they could interpret the different information that they are being taught. The different types of propaganda had been defined for students, and this activity provided them a chance to prove that they interpreted the information correctly and could identify the different forms of propaganda. This is an assignment that students work through and proceed to review as a class to ensure that everyone understand the information in its entirety.
