Workplace Deviance

Workplace deviance is having deliberate desire to cause harm or hurt an organization. For example, an unsatisfied employee decided to turn on their company for getting fired or believing they deserve more. Another form of workplace deviance in the cyber technology field would be if a fired employee before he left downloaded sensitive information and start sell it to rival companies for financial purposes. Cyber technology has created a variety of opportunities for workplace deviance to occur. For instance, cyber technology has allowed attackers to find ways to not get caught when they create harm or hurt a company. This opportunity would allow a person to be hard to find when they are doing harm on through a computer rather than in person. Cyber technology has opened doors for workplace deviance more easily for hackers or attackers to cause theft, fraud, vandalism, and economic threats. The two primary sectors that workplace deviance can mostly occur is healthcare and education. The reason these two sectors are the most attacked because hackers can use the healthcare system to take health insurance policies for fraudulent claims or counterfeit prescriptions and they can use the education system to steal a wealth of valuable records of students, faculty members, and alumni for identity theft. Overall, workplace deviance has made ii easier to do and harder to get caught in the cyber technology field. Workplace deviance will always occur, but as cyber technology advances it will be easier to catch.
