Across three 50-hour phases, I reflected on system validation, network and application troubleshooting, documentation, administrative processes, and coordination across technical and operational groups. The course encouraged me to evaluate work I had previously performed primarily from an operational perspective through concepts such as least privilege, network security, documentation as a security control, service continuity, risk management, and professional communication.

Skills Demonstrated

Applied systems administration

Network and application troubleshooting

Security-focused operational analysis

Technical documentation and process improvement

Cross-functional professional communication

Integration of academic cybersecurity concepts with professional practice

Cybersecurity Internship Reflection

Technical cybersecurity work requires more than familiarity with individual tools or operating systems.
