I completed my A.A.S in Cybersecurity in May 2024 and decided to further my education at ODU after reviewing the curriculum this institution has to offer. Career wise, I have been working as a Dental Assistant for 6 years now and I am ready for a career change. My next advancement career wise from my current position would be either a Manager, Dental Hygienist or Dentist. Having been in the career for 6 years, I do not have a desire to be in any of those positions. I am extremely excited and determined to obtain my Bachelors so that I can further excel within my career into something I believe will be more engaging. I am looking forward to the continuous learning, broad career choices and a bigger opportunities for professional growth. I have had an apprenticeship before but I have not had an internship. One barrier for me has been accepting the pay cut that comes with a lot of internships however, I am working to secure one for Next summer.
