Since Cybersecurity is a interdisciplinary field, understanding details like what makes it likely for a cyber-offender to act the way they do and what makes victims vulnerable really are important. Aspects and quirks of human behavior play a major role in how things happen in reality, and looking at Cybersecurity through a purely technical lens can lead someone to come to an incorrect and potentially harmful conclusion about something.
