Taking  action based only off of a hunch rather than something more substantial  could be wasteful and dangerous. Determinism and Relativism helps us  understand that things do not happen in a vacuum, and things do not just  happen for no reason. We need to understand that events happen due to  one or more underlying factors with varying levels of influence.
