   The components to a business work in unison for success. The typical organization chart consist of Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Human Resources or HR. Along with these components there are other critical areas that also contribute. These other components of a business include its legal side, internal auditing, technical support, knowledge management, Policies and Procedures, and supply chain management. The legal side ensures compliance with laws and contracts, while internal auditing monitors the business’ financial integrity. technical support handles IT troubleshooting and knowledge management maintains the business’ records. policies and procedures sets guidelines within the business. And finally, supply chain management oversees the movement of products from the supplier to the consumer. These components fit into different areas of an organization; for example, supply chain management would fall into Operations. 

IT and How It Fits Into An Organization

     IT plays a crucial role throughout the organization. It can fit under Operations, Finance, or can even stand out as a standalone technology division. IT ensures business continuity by managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital solutions. Within IT, operations maintains network and servers, cybersecurity protects against cyber threats, software development creates internal applications, and database management handles the storage of data. To function effectively, IT must be well-structured. The typical ladder of IT includes a Chief Information Officer overseeing strategy, a Project Management Office handling IT projects, and specialized teams for development, security and support. IT is essential for a business’ efficiency, security, and its innovation as it supports everything from workflow to customer interactions. Without IT, a lot of businesses would struggle to compete in the digital world.

Conclusion

    In conclusion, a business is more than what is presented at face value; it relies heavily on various components like internal auditing and IT to function effectively. IT plays a very vital role in supporting businesses and protecting its data. A well structured organization that includes ensures smooth workflow and innovation, making it one of the most important components in modern business.
