At the beginning of the course I had quite some improving to do. I had trouble with my grammar, comma splices, and sentence fragments. Within the first five weeks I have made some improvements in my writing. One of those improvements was comma splices, I had a few comma splices in my first essay and while writing my second essay I was able to catch the comma splices that were being written. Along with improving on comma splices, I also improved on my grammar. Aside from my small improvements, I really have to work on sentence fragments. In my first essay, I had one or two sentence fragments while in my second essay I had a few more. In order for me to improve on sentence fragments, I would really have to proofread my essay. Besides my improvements and what I need to work on, the peer-reviews have been really helping me as a writer. The peer-reviews really help because they understand what the student is writing about, and just being able to have someone to talk to about the paper is relieving. When there is someone to talk to, it assists the student in getting their thoughts onto paper. I know that now I need to read my paper thoroughly and read from the bottom to the top to catch my mistakes.
