Welcome!

Welcome to our Interview Day 2023 information website! We are very excited to meet you and for you to meet our faculty and students!

Our interviews are virtual this year. Our goal with virtual interviews is to still give you a full sense of our program as well as provide an informative and smooth interview experience. To that end, we have designed this webpage to provide any relevant information you may need as you prepare for interview day with us.

Our interviews will be a daylong remote event held over Zoom (please click here for technical requirements). To start interview day, you will be greeted by Director of Clinical Training, Dr. Christina Rodriguez, and Associate Director, Dr. Andrew Franklin. After that, you will have at least two individual meetings with faculty members. You will also have small group meetings with current graduate students centered around different program-related topics (i.e., clinical practicum, research, diversity). Later in the day, there is a chance for you to meet with your potential mentor’s research lab and have the opportunity to speak with their current graduate students. You will also have an opportunity to join our Drs. Rodriguez and Franklin to ask them questions about our program. Finally, the day will end with a wrap-up meeting with Dr. Rodriguez.

We have provided links for virtual tours of Old Dominion University and Norfolk State University found here, and information regarding the general Norfolk area found here. Links to access research lab virtual tours from mentors who provide them are available here. Should you encounter any issues or concerns during interview day, you can find contact information for someone to help here. Lastly, we’ve provided a “interview day tips” with some suggestions and points that you may find useful.

By now, you should have received a detailed personalized schedule. This schedule provides you with all your scheduled meetings with faculty and students, along with Zoom link information. If you did not receive the schedule, please reach out to our program administrator, Ms. Kionna Teague (skteague@odu.edu).
