This could indicate a healthy balance in my usage, showing that social media does not significantly interfere with my responsibilities or well-being.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thoughts on the Items in the Scale:<\/strong> The items in the scale are important as they capture various dimensions of social media use, such as frequency, emotional dependency, and the extent to which it disrupts daily activities. I find that they effectively highlight potential issues related to overuse and the negative consequences it can have on mental health and relationships. However, they may not fully account for positive aspects of social media, such as connection and community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Global<\/strong><strong> Patterns of Social Media Use:<\/strong> Different patterns across the world can be attributed to several factors, including cultural attitudes towards technology, access to the internet, and varying levels of digital literacy. For example, in some countries, social media serves primarily as a tool for activism and social change, while in united state young kids are privilege to have phone and tablet which may be used more for entertainment.
