After taking this quiz it showed you which types of love you were fit for. Each type of love has a mean (average), if you scored higher than the mean for that specific type of love, it meant you were not compatible for that type, if you scored lower than the mean then that is the type of love you are fit for. The type of love I am compatible for is called “agape.” This love is described as, “An all-giving, non demanding love.”

This assignment taught me a lot about myself and the type of relationships I should look for and be happy in. Since I am not currently in a relationship, this assignment taught me a lot about myself and what I like/dislike in a relationship. I have never really done an assignment or learned about love and different types of relationships. That is why this assignment was very interesting to me.

This assignment was relevant to me because while I may not be in a relationship right now, I am probably very close to being in one. I saw some of the qualities learned about in this assignment in the guy I am talking to and in our forming relationship.

                                 https://www.ftd.com/blog/give/types-of-love

I chose this picture because this is the type of love I was compatible with. In this tirade Michael got very mad because he felt a group of people were constantly interrupting him while he was trying to speak and go on with his show. With this happening, he said some things that started a big controversy. He used a lot of profanity and many racist things towards a group of African American men. Many people thought because of his actions and words towards these men that he is a racist, while others thought he only said those things out of anger. I believe it is a mixture of both, he was very angry but he also is racist in some ways.

I haven’t experienced or seen someone being racist before but after this video it was very eye opening. I learned a lot more about how racism is still an issue and it gave me a little inside look to how others may feel when this happens. This video and topic reminds me a lot of my world religions class. In this class we learned a lot about racism and segregation because of religion. Some rulers of countries, when people aren’t the same religion religion as them or act certain ways, they used to get beat, killed or tortured mentally and physically. This reminds me a lot of racism as well.

After college I would like to go on and get my masters or doctoral degree in physical therapy. With this job, I am going to be around so many people who are from different ethnicities, race, religion and so on. This video just reminded me how careful you have to be with what you say and how you treat people. Michael Richards tried to plead that he is not a racist and the things he said were only completely out of anger. Even if this were the case, it still isn’t right.

https://www.ufcu.org/personal/learn/tools-advice/financial-advice/be-a-wise-consumer/3-credit-union-benefits-and-the-principles-behind-them

I chose this image to represent my take away from the assignment because I feel as whole, in order to stop injustices, racism and everything else, no matter your skin color or religion we all need to stick up for each other. We need to make sure that we stop racism and when we see or hear anything about it we need to make sure it’s stopped immediately. This happened a little bit after the Michael Richards tirade but we need to make sure it happens all the time, in everyday life.

ATA2:

This assignment explained that photos can describe a lot about them. In this assignment we had to choose 6-12 photos from out camera roll that we thought described ourselves and the things we’re into. After we chose these photos we had to explain what each photo was. Then we had to explain why we chose every photo and how we thought the photo represented us as a person.

While going through my camera roll to decide which pictures to use, I realized that a lot of my photos were of the same thing or had the same concept. This truly does show that the photos people take can really reflect who they are and what they like through photos. These photos made me really reflect who I am. These photos described me as family-oriented, athletic, a friend, a student and someone who loves animals.

This assignment reminds me of my photo journalism class I took in high school. One of our main jobs in this class was to create the yearbook. This required us to look at photos of ourselves, friends and different classmates and write about the photos, what we thought was happening in the photos and how people felt based on their facial expressions. This is similar to this assignment because I had to analyze photos of myself and make the same judgments. This assignment and my photo journalism class made me realize photos have a lot more meaning behind them then you think, they reflect a persons habits, character, likes and dislikes.

https://www.teachertrap.com/2014/10/understanding-characters.html/

I chose this photo to represent this assignment because I feel photos not only capture peoples external emotions and thoughts , they also show whats on the inside of a person like their character, likes and personality.

ATA1:

This assignment was about the different heuristics. Heuristics is basically a process or method used to help during decision making. There are 4 different types of heuristics we use in mostly every social situation, most of the time we don’t even realize we’re doing it. One of the heuristics is the representativeness heuristic which is when you assess and make decisions on someone or something based on its looks, habits, actions ect. The next heuristic is the availability heuristic. This is a mental shortcut. It’s when you make a decision based on prior knowledge. The next one is anchoring and adjustment heuristic. This is when a value is used as a starting point and adjustments are made afterwards. Lastly is the status quo heuristic which is making decisions on something based on its value/age. While these heuristics are usually an accurate way to make decisions they do have their errors as well.

This same topic is similar to some things I learned in my intro to psychology class. We learned about many different ways humans use ideas similar to heuristics in everyday life. Maybe not always with just decision making but there are many things we do un-knowingly to navigate through everyday life. With the knowledge from both intro to psychology class and this assignment I see how this has actually occurred in my life and in social situations. This assignment was relevant to me because for example, when I was getting recruited for soccer by college coaches in high school I used representativeness heuristic when talking to college coaches. I used this heuristic because you only get to talk to the coaches a couple of times so while I didn’t know them personally I had to make judgments and decisions based on their habits, actions and the way they talked. Then I had to use these judgments and conclusions I’ve made about them to make a decision on the school I wanted to go to.

                        https://www.redbubble.com/shop/mind+blown+stickers

I chose this image to represent this assignment because I felt “mind-blown” reading all the definitions of the different heuristics. Sometimes when learning a topic I ask myself, “how does this relate to me or how am I going to use this information in my life?” However, with this assignment I did not feel that way. When reading the different heuristics I thought of several examples of how I’ve used each of them in my life. I didn’t know heuristics were a thing or that they were studied but now that I do it amazes me how all humans unintentionally use these same decision making processes.

ATA4: In assignment 4, we had to take a quiz about love.
