10th World Congress on Ultrasound in Medical Education (WCUME) 2026!

The Abstract Review Subcommittee for 10th World Congress on Ultrasound in Medical Education (WCUME) welcomes the submission of abstracts and case reports for consideration as oral or poster presentations.

Submissions that have been previously presented at other conferences will be considered, provided this is clearly indicated and the submission has been modified to include any new or revised data.

Abstract and Case Report submissions opens March 1, 2026 and close June 15, 2026.

Submission Types

Submissions are welcome for the following presentation formats:

  • Oral presentations:   Oral presentations will be limited to 5-minutes, followed by 2 minutes of Q&A.
  • Poster Presentations

Authors may indicate whether they wish to be considered for oral presentation, poster presentation, or both.

  • Global Ultrasound Education
  • Ultrasound Technology and Innovation
  • Advances in Artificial Intelligence in Ultrasound
  • Clinical Application of Ultrasound

  • Quality Improvement and Safety in Ultrasound
  • Case Reports: The Power of Clinical Ultrasound
  • Other

Review Process

Each submission will undergo a peer-review process conducted by members of the Abstract Review Subcommittee.

Authors will be notified of acceptance decisions via email by the Abstract Review Subcommittee Chair.

Abstract Requirements:

  • WCUME uses a peer review process. Submissions that do not adhere to this requirement will not be considered.
  • Abstracts and case reports are limited to 500 words (excluding the title).
  • Images and cineloop videos are equivalent to 50 words each toward the 500-word count. (limit 3 images and/or cineloop videos)
  • Tables are limited to a maximum of seven columns and ten rows. Regardless of size, all tables are equivalent to 35 words against the 500-word limit.
  • Abstracts should be organized using the following headings:
    • Background
    • Objectives
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion
    • References
  • Case reports should be organized using the following headings:
    • Patient Presentation
    • Diagnosis
    • Discussion
    • References
  • A copy of the author’s CV should be included with the submission.

Corresponding Author:

For each submission a corresponding author must be designated. The corresponding author is responsible for providing up-to-date contact information at the time of the submission and must notify the program committee of any changes.

  • Abstract / Case Report submissions opens: March 1, 2026
  • Abstract / Case Report submissions deadline: June 15, 2026 at 11:59 pm EDT
  • Deadline for presenter registration:  September 1, 2026
