{"id":187,"date":"2025-12-18T21:28:36","date_gmt":"2025-12-18T21:28:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/wcume2026\/?page_id=187"},"modified":"2026-04-07T18:48:18","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T18:48:18","slug":"abstracts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.wp.odu.edu\/wcume2026\/abstracts\/","title":{"rendered":"Abstracts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-layout-1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>10th World Congress on Ultrasound in Medical Education\u00a0(WCUME)<\/strong> <strong>2026!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Eastern Virginia Medical School @ Old Dominion University<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Norfolk, VA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>October 22-25, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Abstract Review Subcommittee for 10<sup>th<\/sup> World Congress on Ultrasound in Medical Education (WCUME) welcomes the submission of abstracts and case reports for consideration as oral or poster presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submissions that have been previously presented at other conferences will be considered, provided this is clearly indicated and the submission has been modified to include any new or revised data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract and Case Report submissions opens <\/strong><strong>March 1, 2026 and close June 15, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission Types<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submissions are welcome for the following presentation formats:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Oral presentations:<\/strong> &nbsp;&nbsp;Oral presentations will be limited to 5-minutes, followed by 2 minutes of Q&amp;A.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Poster Presentations<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors may indicate whether they wish to be considered for&nbsp;oral presentation, poster presentation, or both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Ultrasound in Medical Education Curriculum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Novel Ultrasound Teaching Methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Global Ultrasound Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ultrasound Technology and Innovation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advances in Artificial Intelligence in Ultrasound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clinical Application of Ultrasound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Point-of-Care Ultrasound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quality Improvement and Safety in Ultrasound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Case Reports: The Power of Clinical Ultrasound<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Review Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each submission will undergo a peer-review process conducted by members of the Abstract Review Subcommittee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors will be notified of acceptance decisions via email by the Abstract Review Subcommittee Chair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>WCUME uses a peer review process. Submissions that do not adhere to this requirement&nbsp;will not be considered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abstracts and case reports are limited to 500 words (excluding the title).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Images and cineloop videos are equivalent to&nbsp;50 words each toward the 500-word count. (limit 3 images and\/or cineloop videos)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tables are limited to a maximum of seven columns and ten rows. The corresponding author is responsible for providing up-to-date contact information at the time of the submission and must notify the program committee of any
