As I complete 150 hours of my internship, I find myself reflecting on how much I\u2019ve learned and grown during this time. The journey has been both rewarding and challenging, providing me with invaluable hands-on experience and solidifying key skills that I will utilize during my career. From perfecting the testing and evaluation process and project coordination to navigating cross-departmental collaboration, I\u2019m proud of the skill set I\u2019ve developed. These 150 hours have been instrumental in helping me understand the practical applications of what I\u2019ve studied, and I\u2019m leaving this internship with a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities I\u2019ve been given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the most significant areas of growth for me has been in my technical abilities, particularly with the software tools we\u2019ve used to test and evaluate our work. Becoming proficient in VMWare has allowed me to contribute meaningfully to my team, whether by streamlining processes, creating tailored systems, or aiding in the creation detailed reports. I\u2019ve also honed my project management skills, learning how to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain strong communication across teams to ensure our projects stay on track and the right people stay updated on progress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019ve particularly appreciated the collaborative environment within the organization. Working closely with various departments has broadened my understanding of how our team\u2019s work fits into the larger organizational goals. I\u2019ve learned how to foster effective communication, build relationships across different teams, and ensure that our contributions support the broader mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, as I wrap up this internship, I am excited about the next chapter. I will be transitioning to a remote work-from-home position in Blacksburg, VA. This new role will allow me to continue applying the skills I\u2019ve developed, but with the added flexibility and independence of working remotely. The experience I\u2019ve gained during my internship has prepared me well for this next step, and I feel confident in my ability to thrive in a remote environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Looking ahead, I\u2019m eager to continue growing professionally and building on the foundation I\u2019ve established over these past 150 hours. The internship has not only helped me develop key technical and organizational skills, but it has also strengthened my confidence in navigating complex, real-world challenges.
