In this section, one will find two formal assignments from the Critical Theory course.

The first essay is an article review in which I was required to utilize critical scholarship in my own research and writing. I had to analyze the article discussing a critical theory we had covered and how it was applied to Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

The second essay was a critical application in which I was given the opportunity to develop an interpretation of a work by framing my analysis with a theoretical approach covered in the Critical Theory course. I chose to analyze Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson and utilize the feminist theory.
