How does cyber technology impact interactions between offenders and victims?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The internet has made interacting with people so much easier for better or for worse. A victim of a cyber crime, or any crime in general for that matter, could be contacted via social media by their offenders. Sure blocking every account that bothers you or attacks you, but after a while even that gets taxing because of how relentless the attackers could be. That is why I was taught back in elementary school about the dangers of the internet and how to identify red flags about people on the internet. However, the lessons didn\u2019t teach us about the human interaction part of it. Offenders on the internet are scary because they believe that they would be intouchable because of the fact they are behind and probably somewhere far away from the victim. However, in the case that the offender and the victim are in vicinity of each other, that\u2019s when things get dangerous. On the brightside, there are emerging technologies that provide a defense against their attackers. For instance, there was a downloadable app that acted like a tracker, pinging your location every few meters. The app also had a pushable button that you would hold and if you let go would relay a distress signal or call the authorities to come to you if you were in danger. So there is a back and forth impact battle between the two sides.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. How should we approach the development of cyber-policy and -infrastructure given the \u201cshort arm\u201d of predictive knowledge?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When approaching any new form of policy that\u2019s being put in place, you shouldn\u2019t just immediately put it into place. Slowly integrating the new technologies and programs would be the best bet to have it successfully endorse a policy, or else it would fail upon impact. Introducing too harshly and suddenly, because then the implementation would feel too sudden and borderline oppressive to the population it\u2019s put on. Although is implemented to slowly and lightly, the likelihood of succeeding would fail because of how lightly the policy was implemented.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
