Closing the Gap: Bridging Academic Literacies from High School to College<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Link to 2023 Conference Agenda<\/a><\/strong> Our two-day conference takes place on March 23 and 24, 2023, from 8:30 AM \u2013 3:00 PM EST on ODU\u2019s main campus, located at 1301 49th<\/sup> St., Norfolk VA 23529 in the Webb Center.<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Registration, keynote address, and lunches will take place in the Hampton\/Newport News Rooms<\/strong>, and breakout sessions will occur in the Executive Dining Room<\/strong> and the James\/Lynnhaven River Rooms<\/strong>. Enter near the Webb Center Starbucks and walk through North Cafeteria to get to our check-in desks outside the Hampton\/Newport News Room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n CEUs are available for purchase from ODU’s School of Continuing Education for $35 (1.3 CEUs\/13 hours). See the CEU registration form<\/a> for more information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Certificates of Attendance are also available. Complete the general post-conference survey<\/a> to request a signed certificate via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Parking in the 49th St Stadium Garage is recommended. Parking is free for those with ODU\/NSU parking passes. You can pay by plate for $8\/day, or you may contact Jenn Sloggie (jsloggie@odu.edu) by 8PM on Wednesday, March 22, for information on a free parking voucher. Parking validation information will be available at the check-in desk each morning as well, but you will need to submit your license plate information right away upon arriving to avoid being ticketed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The York River Room will be designated as a quiet room, and the Webb Center Lactation Room is located in room 2202 (Inside the Career Development center) and available for conference attendees on both days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you are observing Ramadan during the conference, please let me know if you would like the Quiet Room (York River Room) reserved for prayer at any point. The Muslim Center of Tidewater is located at ODU and just across 49th<\/sup> Street from Webb Center.
