During essay 3, I have learned even more about writing essays than I did when writing both essays 1 and 2. Especially because essay 3 required more information from an article. So, outside of writing the article, I had to learn to properly cite sources. Prior to writing essay, I was not very good at citing sources and would often cite improperly. This would usually lead to me getting points taken off my grade.But, after a meeting at the writing center, the teacher had showed me the right ways to citing. I had also learned to use my commas a bit better. The usage of commas was something that I always struggle with; that and P.O.V. Whenever I would write an essay I would often mix up the perspectives making it difficult for the reader to be able to understand which perspective I am reading from.Outside of those 3 issues I struggled with I did well when it came down to everything else. But, in class I had also learned some new material. Topics such as sentence structures and even different ways of writing sentences. Learning from things like the differences between complex and compound sentences, and how to word sentences different. Even today in class, professor skrobacki, explained to the class the difference in both summarizing and paraphrasing. Also going over chapters 7 and 8 during class, which were focused on the topics of citing sources and writing a research paper. In those chapters I learned the ways of properly citing and what it means to write a good research paper. These were very helpful in the sense of our teacher giving us essay 4, which focuses on those topics. I see myself making great progress in my writing class, as I prosper into becoming a better writer and preparing myself for future college courses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
