In my previous job at Chick-Fil-A, we had a lot of people from different Spanish-speaking countries working there. As a result of this, over the course of time, it has become necessary for us to learn how to communicate with them through Spanish in order to be able to better understand what they are saying when it comes to performing certain tasks in the kitchen. Moreover, my supervisor even made some little labels in Spanish that were placed around the kitchen so we could remember how to say certain things as well as to be able to understand what is being said back to us. As the workers we were also able to speak to some customers in Spanish to help understand what they want off the menu. As a whole, it was a great idea that was appreciated by the workers who do not speak much English as well as for people like myself who are still learning Spanish and have a hard time understanding the words.
