The YR\u00b2 Lab\u2019s research focuses on a range of self-harming behaviors in youth, including suicidal (e.g., suicide attempts) and nonsuicidal self-injury (e.g., nonsuicidal cutting). With a foundation in clinical psychological science, the YR\u00b2 Lab is specifically interested in understanding the psychological processes that lead to suicidal and self-injurious behaviors, improving identification of risk for these behaviors, and clarifying modifiable targets for intervention and prevention among youth.
