She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Stony Brook University, completed her clinical internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and VA Medical Center, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship (NRSA F32) at Harvard University. She was previously (2015-2019) an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Rochester and a faculty member in the Center for the Study and Prevention of Suicide at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
