My name is Zaquinntia Chamblee. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I moved to Virginia eight years ago. I have two adult children; one daughter and one son. I do not have any siblings. I graduated cum laude and proud to be a part of Tidewater Community College, Spring class of 2020. I was honored to be nominated and selected as one of the student speakers for my graduating class. I am currently a junior at Old Dominion University; my major is Human Services. My favorite classes so far are Spanish and Philosophy because both of my professors in those classes have made those courses interesting and fun. I wanted to learn Spanish to broaden my spoken languages. Spanish is a language frequently spoken and I want to be able to understand and dialogue the Spanish language; which I find rich and appealing.
The goal after graduation is to work with a company that shares my passion for assisting those in need. I want to help as many young women as I can, who may need an ear and guidance maneuvering through life. I am a retired Master Barber-Stylist and Barbershop owner. I enjoyed watching the happy faces of my clients after cutting their hair.
I like painting, writing poems and short stories. I also like exercising and spending time with my family.
Below is a recent picture that I painted.
