My name is Cydney DeWees, I am a 21 year old from Chesapeake, Virginia. I was born and raised here on July 4, 2002. I will be graduating with a degree in Spanish and a minor in Accounting this spring. I plan to continue my education to complete my second Bachelor’s degree in Accounting this upcoming year. I have been learning Spanish since high school, and completed my first spanish class as a Freshman. I fell in love with the language and decided I wanted to continue learning. Below is my resumé, consisting of the most relevant work I have done within the past few years.
ResumeI have taken many years of Spanish, and have gained a multitude of experience throughout my education at Old Dominion University. Some of the relevant courses I have taken include Hispanic Literature (330), Hispanic Identities and Culture (322), Business Spanish Language and Culture (366), Spanish Applied Linguistics (410), Advanced Grammar and Syntax (407), and Spanish Senior Research Seminar (475W). All of these courses have contributed to my knowledge of the language and were taught in Spanish. This has helped me progress as a student and increase my ability to control the language well.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, being around family, and taking care of my pets. I have three dogs, three cats, and several chickens that I dedicate my time to. I also love to read and do artistic things, as well as care for plants. I have a garden that I take pride in, and I love to use fresh ingredients to cook. I am grateful for the ability to enjoy all of these things in my life, and love passing time doing any of these things, as well as going to the beach.
