Hello! My name is Ian Corcoran, and welcome to my page. I’d like to use this section to tell you a bit about myself. I am currently a junior at Old Dominion University studying biology with aspirations of becoming a veternarian. While I believe working with animals is my calling in life, it is not my only passion. I love playing soccer and currently play for the ODU Men’s Club Soccer team. I am also an avid music lover. Some of my favorite artist at the moment are Ween, The Flaming Lips, and Outkast. I’ve been teaching myself to play the drums for a few months now, and I think I’m starting to get the hang of it. If there is one thing you should know about me its that I believe we are all connected (for better or for worse). I believe we are connected to every single person, plant, and animal on Earth, and it truly pains me to see us destroy ourselves in such a cataclysmic way. I believe there is no room in our hearts for hate, we are just not built to carry it. We were built to carry love. Love for ourselves, love for others, love for animals, and love for mother Earth. P.S. Adventure Time is the greatest show to ever exist ever.

End of Term Reflection for Cell Biology 293
This semester was pretty tough for me but cell biology was always one of the classes I genuinely looked forward to learning about. I always found myself googling extra information about certain topics just because I found it interesting. For example, the marine yeasts paper was super interesting to me. My main goal is to become a veterinarian, however, if that doesn’t work out mycology has always piqued my interest. I believe this class is my catalyst for pursuing my interest in mycology. Thanks for a great semester Dr. Steel!
