Hello everyone my name is Sahmer Ismael, and I am from a small town called Bealeton Virginia, which is located in Fauquier county. I am a senior cybersecurity major with a minor in cybercrime at Old Dominion University. And looking towards completing my bachelors degree, by the spring of 2025. And after completing it, I look to continue my education in pursing my master degree in cybersecurity. When it comes to knowing a little about me, I am a highly motivated, determined, and hard working individual who looks to continue progressing in the field of cybersecurity throughout my career, as it precedes to advance. My main goal upon graduating with both degrees, is to work with the federal government, and to continue developing my skills to defend the nations cyber realm, from malicious threat actors, through a defensive security role. I am also a member of the CyberCorps Scholarship for service (SFS), which is a prestigious award, that displays my commitment to further serve the government upon graduation.
Away from my studies, I love to spend time with my family members, cook, workout, and watch sports. I also have a deep passion for helping others, and being a football coach one day.
