Hello My name is Julian Samonte I am from Virginia Beach and I am graduating from ODU with a bachelor’s in Cybersecurity in Spring 2026. I have loved technology since I was a kid and I always knew that I wanted to pursue something in that field. It wasn’t until my sophomore year in college that I actually took a liking to the specific field of Cybersecurity. I thought the ability to analyze systems and prevent potential attacks was a very interesting line of work and wanted to be one of the professionals that was able to do so. As a kid I was effected by these potential attackers and I want to do the best I can to be able to protect systems from the same fate as me. This portfolio was created to showcase three abilities of mine that I have learned over my 4 years of school and how they are important to the field of cybersecurity. Additionally I will be including my resume and a reflection essay analyzing my skills and artifacts discussing how my academic experiences contribute to my career readiness.
