Marine Biology Student | Environmental health & Aquatic Ecosystem | Driven, Curious, and purpose Filled
Hi, I’m Majesti Cummings, a student in marine biology with a growing interest in aquatic ecosystems, environmental health, and science communication. My academic work focuses on understanding how marine environments function and the challenges they face due to climate change, human impact, and ecological shifts.
I approach my studies with both curiosity and professionalism. I love learning how scientific research connects to real world solution and policy, especially when it affects communities, environmental health, and public understanding of the ocean.
My background also includes service in the U.S. Navy as a culinary Specialist, where I developed strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. These experiences strengthened my ability to adapt, work under pressure, and collaborate with people from different backgrounds which are skills that I now apply to my academic and long term career goals.
In the future, I hope to continue exploring marine science through fieldwork, research opportunities and work that contributes to environmental restoration, education or conservation. outside of academics I also enjoy creative work, including drawing and digital art, which helps me express ideas visually and stay grounded.
