Murphy Irving Ritenour (previously Cai Murphy Ritenour) is a recent graduate of Old Dominion University who earned a bachelor’s degree as a leadership major and children’s rights minor. I have taken a range of courses in leadership, sociology, psychology, law, human services, and health.

For the last six years, I have been employed as a public library worker in several different positions, including Library Assistant, Information Services Specialist, and Library Technician. I value library work because it is an interdisciplinary, humanistic field that allows me to utilize my skills to advance our patrons’ abilities to learn, access storytelling, and find community.
