Hello to all. My name is Gilene Palugod and I am currently in my third year here at Old Dominion University. I reside in the Virginia Beach area, so I am relatively close to the campus itself. I have always had my mind set on my career revolving around helping others, and it wasn’t until recently when I discovered that I was interested in helping children in particular. I am currently a Nursing major, with a finished minor in Psychology. My main goal, as of right now, is being able to make myself proud of the work and achievements I accomplish in the pursuit of both my academic and professional career.

When my time is not devoted to my schoolwork, my activities consist of immersing myself in work or anything regarding music. It helps that there are reminders that even when I feel like my academics are consuming me, I have interests that anchor me to reality and act as sort of an escape.
