Hi, I’m Lyndsey.

I’m 25, and currently working part time as a Childcare Provider and babysitter as I’ve been doing since I was 17. I am majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice hoping to achieve my goal in becoming a Criminal Psychologist. I would like to counsel people in prison or work directly with criminals in analyzing their behavior. I’m taking this class to expand my knowledge about the social aspects of psychology and get more reasoning behind why people do what they do based on how they act. I spend a fair amount of time watching Crime Documentaries (Ted Bundy, BTK, Green River Killer to name a few) and fictional shows revolving crime (Law & Order:SVU, Criminal Minds, Mindhunter, etc.) and became interested in how to detect the personality of the people I come in contact with. Applying what I’ve learned from these shows and other courses in the subject, I often find myself seeing red flags in character upon first meeting people and putting together a map in my head of what led me to the conclusion of who they are. I only hope to learn more from this class.
