About Me

My site consists of my background, experiences, skills, and what I look for in cybersecurity. This site shows how my skills and jobs are beneficial to me and meet people to help me succeed.

Hello Everyone!! My name is Anajah Owens and I am currently at Old Dominion University studying Cybersecurity. I come from a small town called Tappahannock Virginia. I am the youngest of three kids. I was always fascinated with technology and security so I decided to go into cybersecurity.

My journey with cybersecurity started when I watched some of my family members talk about cybersecurity and their jobs and personal experiences and how they try to protect companies and their benefits. I was fascinated and wanted to go into the field.

When I was deciding about college, I always had ODU on my list but I wanted to see which college had a good program and would actually be beneficial in the long run. When I got to ODU, they were very helpful and would let you know what classes are needed and would love to help you with anything that you need.

Current Skills

I am in two cybersecurity classes, learning about the basics, knowing where to go and find stuff on a site, and problem solving skills like the CIA Triad and NIST framework. I also discovered how to do business writing and other concepts.

In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, going to the gym, meditating, and other things. These activities help me unwind and relax at any giving time.

Feel free to explore my portfolio to see how my coursework and experiences have prepared me for my future career in the cybersecurity field.
