Social process theory is individuals that are more prone to committing crimes after witnessing someone commit a crime.

• Stony

Stony’s decision to rob banks is influenced by the passing of her brother and how she wanted a better life and be financially stable. 

• Cleo 

Cleo’s  behavior is reinforced by her social group. She models and promotes criminal behavior, taking pride in her role as a leader in the robberies. She also got influenced by the amount of money they would receive, TT child getting taken away, and Frankie’s job getting taken away from her. 

• TT

Tisean’s status as a struggling single mother. Feeling powerless, She feels like she needs to do what’s best for her child and to get her child back. She expresses that she can’t live without her child. 

• Frankie 

Frankie feels like after she lost her job, she feels a type of way toward the system and it is exacerbated by her bond with the group. The police were trying to put her in connection with the robbery with  Their shared anger at systemic oppression reinforcing her belief that crime is the only viable path forward.
