My name is Shanice Dolson. I am 30 years old. I am currently serving in the United States Army Reserves. I have been serving for 13 years. I also currently work at Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Welder for 8 years. I graduated from the apprenticeship program in 2019. I graduated from Tidewater Community College with my associate’s degree in science in 2022. My major was in General Studies. I am now attending Old Dominion University as a junior. My current major at Old Dominion University is Criminal Justice. I plan on adding Mathematics once I complete my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. I strive to improve myself with knowledge and discipline. Some of my goals are to become Personnel Security Specialist at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia. I want to retire from the Army Reserves as a First Sergeant also known as an E-8. I want to retire from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a GS-15. I like to write my goals on a poster board and tape it to the wall. Once I have accomplished that goal, I check the box and put the date I completed it. I am also a mother. I have an 8-year-old son. I enjoy helping him with school projects, homework, and creating gift bags for his classmates when certain holidays come around. I enjoy every moment with my family. I enjoy outside sports, working out, mentoring, listening to music, and most of time the relaxing. My life is busy. With the proper time management, I will always accomplish my goals.
