For this journal entry, we had to read an article and write a summary reaction to the use of the policies.

After reading the article, the bug bounty market was a good creation for cyber-security vulnerabilities. Bug Bounty were freelance security researchers. Their main task was to hack into companies IT systems, with permission, and find bugs (vulnerabilities). Many companies could not trust a third party because they were afraid of being sued. When a company gets sued, they take a financial loss and cause the business to close down. Many companies were lacking a vulnerability disclosure policy. Companies also have issues with the hiring process for a cyber-security professional. The bug bounty was affordable for companies in all sizes. They gained trust with numerous companies. With the flexible work schedule they had for their employees, they were able to continuously work and make suggestions to better the security policy.
