An ethical issue that arises is the privacy and confidentiality issue. This is allowing a company to keep information about an individual, but at times the information is shared. Overall the is a privacy issue because a company is able to have information about an individual and the data is saved on a technological device which has a risk of being confiscated. In addition another ethical issue that arises is security breaches. This brings harm to candidate information specifically when someones information is compromised; I work daily with PII and if this were to happen civilian information would be made available to other without the individual’s consent. I also found another ethical issue that arises which is system implementation. This is an ethical issue because in companies the implementation caused loss of confidence by clients and candidate safety issues due to the fact that the implementation was not kept up with or that the workers did not know how to correctly use it. The last ethical issue is data inaccuracies because if the data is loss during a data transfer then this raises concerns of whether or not the data about the candidate is correct.

Geographically there is a big difference in the amount of cybercrimes in the United States compared to the rest of the world. The United states has the biggest cybercrime rate, with China coming in second. The United States is significantly higher than all other countries. This means that the Unites States needs to figure out how to stop cybercrime whether it is more security or a better way to keep information enclosed. This year with the world going back to somewhat normal, it leaves me thinking what vulnerability is left open for such a cyberattack to occur. We have been working from home and around technology on a daily. Yet with things opening back up we are so quick to get outdoors and leave our world of technology exposed to attackers. Something that is struck me this time of year is cryptocurrency. With this new wave of investors, one must protect themselves from attackers that are waiting for them to put information out into the net. The United States is watching closely to what is going on in China on this matter and with the crackdown, cyberattacks are likely to rise.
