My name is Edgar Poe, but most people these days call me Edgar Allan Poe, which isn’t what I like at all. See, the Allan family took me under their care after my parents died, and I never did have a good relationship with Mr. Allan. Oh, and it’s Allan with an “a,” not “Allen.” Most people spell it wrong, too, in fact. Nevertheless, I have a rock star image, of sorts, which is why I think this exists:

Most people know me today for my poem “The Raven,” which was also my most famous literary piece in the 19th century, but I didn’t write it until near my death. More than anything, I wrote criticism as a journalist.
