Week 5

If I were interviewing a candidate for an information security officer position these are the questions I would ask. One question I would ask is do you have any allegiance to any other organization or nation? Another question I would ask is do you have any prior experiences with a security breach or something along those lines? I would also ask how much experience do you have in this field? Are you willing to build on your knowledge and learn new techniques?  Finally is there any unbreakable cryptosystem if so what is it called and describe it.

The first question ensures that the candidate doesn’t have any reason to go against the company or leak information. The next question asses if they were ever in an intense situation.  It also shows you what situation they were in and what they did in those situations. The third question is to see what experience they have in the field. The fourth question is showing if the candidate is willing to continue to grow and expand their knowledge. This is something you want in an employee because it means they are committed to their job. The final question is to see if they know their basics.

The responses I’m looking for are no I do not have an alleged to any other company. I have been working with a small company just doing the basics and fine-tuning myself for this field. I have had experience with breaches, at my old job it happened and I was calm and collected. Yes, I am always willing to learn something new and build on my knowledge. It is called a one time pad, this is where the key is only used once and it is a very lengthy key.
