I am a Human Services major currently working toward completing my degree. Although my primary area of study is Human Services, my cybersecurity coursework has helped me develop knowledge and skills that will be valuable in both my education and my future career.
Throughout my cybersecurity coursework, I have been introduced to topics such as cybersecurity awareness, information security, risk assessment, and responsible technology use. These experiences have helped me better understand the importance of protecting information and recognizing the potential risks that individuals and organizations face online today.
As a Human Services major, I believe this knowledge is especially important as professionals in this field often work with sensitive and confidential information. My cybersecurity coursework has helped me understand that protecting people includes guarding their privacy and taking responsibility for the information they share.
One of my current goals is to continue building my knowledge and skills through my coursework while preparing for my future career in Human Services. My experiences with cybersecurity have strengthened my critical-thinking, problem-solving, and online awareness skills, and I plan to carry these skills with me into my professional life.
