Hi, my name is Alissia Metcalfe. I am currently a freshman at Old Dominion University, pursuing a degree in cybersecurity. I previously served five years on in the U.S Navy active component, where I developed strong technical and problem-solving skills. I am eager to leverage the knowledge and experience I gained during my military service to build a successful career in the cybersecurity field. On down time I enjoy spending time with my family, finding new restaurants to eat in the 757 and working out at our local CrossFit gym.

I look forward to graduating from the school of cybersecurity here at ODU and pursuing a career in cybersecurity as a penetration tester/ systems administrator with a technical organization on the Department Of Defence sector. I have set goals for my academic career to include the deans list and school involvement in cybersecurity groups to include Blacks In Cyber. I am truly grateful for the opportunity I have been given to be apart of the monarchs and I plan to place my best foot forward in succeeding.
