Communication is an important skill that impacts how an individual interacts with others. There are different forms of communication such as verbal, non-verbal, and written communication. An individual with communication skills can effectively convey their ideas to others. Communication is essential for any career due to every profession requiring interaction with clients, colleagues, and other parties. The cybersecurity field in particular, requires a lot of communication due to cybersecurity being a team effort.
Artifact 1: Analytical Paper (The Implications of Cyber Technology and an Approach to Cyber-policy and Infrastructure)
In this artifact, I discuss the possible implications of cyber technology and propose how to handle those implications through policies and infrastructure. This artifact uses a specific type of writing called business writing which is clear, concise, and professional.
Artifact 2: Research Proposal Letter
This artifact is written communication whose purpose is to persuade my professor into approving my research topic about the impact of cyber technology on the types and perpetrators of crimes. In this artifact, I use information from my research to highlight the importance of the topic and discuss the topic’s interdisciplinary nature.
Artifact 3: Socket Programming Presentation
In this video presentation, I discuss my final project in my Introduction to Basic Network and Programming (CYSE 250) course. The project uses socket programming in the Python programming language for a movie recommendation service. This artifact includes a segment where I demonstrate how to use the program I created.
