Ethical hacking is an important skill in the cybersecurity field that utilizes both technical skills and critical thinking. In ethical hacking, the professional is required to take the role of an attacker to find system vulnerabilities that can be patched or mitigated by security strategies.
Artifact 1: Ethical Hacking Lab Report
In this artifact, I take control of another device through a remote access protocol. This report shows every step I took in the ethical hacking process starting with scanning for vulnerabilities, using a known exploit in the Metasploit framework, and increasing user access.
Artifact 2: Password Cracking Lab Report
This artifact is a step-by-step report on how I was able to obtain different various user passwords using multiple password cracking tools in Linux. The second portion in this artifact details how I successfully decrypted an encrypted traffic file and my analysis on the decrypted traffic.
Artifact 3: Passive Reconnaissance Lab Report
This artifact focuses on one of the most important step in the ethical hacking process which is reconnaissance. In this lab, I used the Shodan and WhoIs tools to gather information about a specific device. I analyzed the information gathered and identified vulnerabilities in the device that can be exploited by an attacker.
