Careers in criminal justice and cybercrime are related in a variety of distinct ways. Cybercrime is the term for unlawful activity committed online or through computers. Cybercrime and criminal justice are related topics that overlap. This includes identity theft, internet fraud, hacking, and cyberbullying. We understand the technology and criminal justice components, so it makes sense in reference to other topics we learned in class. One of the main reasons that cybercrime and criminal justiceĀ  overlap so much is because of the way technology has evolved. To adequately investigate cybercrimes, law enforcement officials, including police officers, need to be aware of all the digital aspects involved.Judges and attorneys also need to learn how to handle digital evidence in court, especially when heavy technology is becoming the standard everywhere, whether to win a case or just to make a point. Nevertheless, since it takes knowledge of computer systems to spot flaws, cybercrime is a branch of computer science.Psychology, which focuses on comprehending the reasons behind hackers’ activities and how they could help themselves in solving problems, is another area where these areas meet.Law and ethics are important factors to consider when evaluating the moral consequences of cybercrime investigations. Concerns about privacy and making sure the law is obeyed in cybercrime situations are two of these. Finally, I want to discuss international relations. International ties are important since cyberattacks and cybercrimes usually include other countries. Every country has laws, and the institutions tasked with upholding those laws must also be involved. Because of all the various procedures employed in the fields of cybercrime and criminal justice, even though it is an extremely drawn-out process, it is required.In conclusion, specialists in criminal justice and cybercrime work closely together because of the crossing lines of physical crime and virtual crime .
