In this article the author outlines eleven online activities that people do online that they
might not know is illegal. Same of these things include torrenting/pirated media,
cyberbullying, stealing someone’s identity, and illegal searches, to name a few. Slynchuk
goes into brief detail about what each of them are and what about them makes it illegal.
The one that stuck out the most to me is the fact that most people who torrent aren’t
thinking that the person who is putting stolen media on the internet is also possibly
trying to steal the information of those that use the stolen media. They then go on to
ways that people can protect themselves when browsing the internet like using a VPN
or incognito/ private mode but to me, if someone is going to those measures and doing
anything listed in this article then they more than likely know that it is illegal or frowned
upon.
