The Nist Framework benefits many organizations because it provides them with the tools to identify, evaluate, and diminish threats, improving their risk management protocols. The Framework is easy to understand, adaptable, and flexible enough to be incorporated throughout an organization. There are also a few core functions within the framework that an organization should follow to provide security for its systems: Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover.
I would use the NIST Framework in my future workplace by following the core functions. First, I would identify the cybersecurity needs and risks. Then, I would find the best solution to protect the organization’s systems and data. The next step would be to detect security risks and incidents. Then, we would use the function respond by evaluating the risks and, lastly, find a way to recover.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
