The Relentless Flock Member

Well, here we are again. The glitter has been swept up, the confetti is gone, and for some reason, the Baltimore Ravens weren’t the ones holding the trophy. Again. If you’re like me, you’re currently in the “Five Stages of Grief,” but I’ve been stuck on Stage 2: Anger since the clock hit zero in the playoffs. I’d love to say I’m “over it,” but if anyone brings up the game, I’m taken right back to January…

The NFL offseason is a special kind of purgatory. One day you’re screaming at the TV until your veins pop; the next, you’re watching a mid-April baseball game wondering if the center fielder has the wingspan to play safety for us. But just because the pads are off doesn’t mean the fandom stops. This year, my persona is shifting from “Full-Time Screamer” to “Professional Offseason Consultant.” If you’re following me over on X, expect a healthy dose of aggressive optimism where every free agent signing is a future Hall of Famer until proven otherwise, we’re cheering for the O’s while hoping to see a Ravens player at the game, all while keeping an eye out for which Raven’s coach they fired or hired now.

I’ll also be checking in on the Orioles, the Olympics and the rest of the sports world, mostly to see if their fanbases are as stressed out as we are. We say we’re ‘taking a break’ from the stress in February, but as soon as the first trade rumor leaks, we’re back to making the Ravens our entire personality again. I’m here to keep the energy high and the takes spicy. Whether we’re roasting our rivals for their questionable draft picks or collectively manifesting a Super Bowl run for 2027, the Flock stays together. We don’t just “move on”—we reload, we complain, and we keep the receipts.

I’ll be live-tweeting the chaos, the rumors, and the inevitable “Lamar is looking jacked in his workout videos” posts all spring and summer. Join me on X for the daily grind as we navigate the “Dark Zone” together. My current offseason tagline remains: “In Lamar We Trust, In the Playoffs We… well, let’s just talk about the Draft.”
