Technical Research and Development

During my time at Old Dominion University, I completed a variety of research assignments and papers that allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the material I was researching. These assignments not only strengthened my technical skills but also enhanced my ability to analyze and critically evaluate complex cybersecurity issues. My research projects involved exploring cutting edge technologies, examining real world cybersecurity incidents, and developing policy recommendations.

Section 1:

This research project explored neural network training using Python to enable AI to categorize images. As part of a three-person team, we focused on dataset preprocessing, model architecture design, or result accuracy analysis. The project was presented at the 2023 COVA CCI Cybersecurity Education & Research Conference held at ODU.

Section 2:

This was my final assignment for CYSE280, Windows System Management and Security. For this assignment, I researched and analyzed major cyber incidents such as Stuxnet and detailed the preventative measures that could be implemented to prevent similar attacks in the future.

Section 3:

This is a Policy Analysis Paper I wrote for CYSE425W, Cybersecurity Strategy and Policy. We were instructed to choose a cybersecurity policy/strategy and research the overview of the policy, why it was developed, how it is applied, and how the policy fits within a national cybersecurity policy. I chose to research The Federal Information Security Management Act for this assignment.
