Game Report

The game I used for my game report was USA vs Brazil in the World Baseball Classic opening game on March 6 2025. I have never watched a World Baseball Classic Game but I look at it like the world cup for baseball and it kind of is that in a sense. The back story of this USA team that I know is they came up short three years ago which encouraged the participation of one the biggest MLB stars Aaron Judge to join team USA this time around in the World Baseball Classic. The game started at 8pm in Houston, Texas where Aaron Judge hit a two-run homer in his first at bat in the first inning to start the USA team off hot but that was quickly answered with Brazil’s Lucas Ramirez lead off home run to bring the score to 2-1 in favor of the US. From there the game was close but watching it you knew team USA was in control. Team in the top of 5th Brice Turang hit a base clearing double breaking open the game the US from their Team Brazil could not recover. Key stats in the were Team Brazil 17 walks issued and the calmness of the US batters. With this being the first time ever watching a World Baseball Classic game it was entertaining to say the least. Rooting for some players that I don’t usually root because of the teams they play for in MLB was quite refreshing to say the least because of how talented they are on the field. Key things I noticed was the youth of the Brazil team. 17 year olds on the field against guys like Bryce Harper and Alex Breggman was one thing to see because you very rarely see that in sports.I looked forward to watching this Team USA going forward in the World Baseball Classic.
