I’m not going to lie, the process of finding a professional pen pal has not been easy and I don’t think it is going to be any easier going forward. The first step is just trying to find out what to say and sound confident enough to get a true genuine response. I was thrown off guard at first because how am I supposed to find a professional pen pal and get them to genuinely respond and reach back out to me. I started reaching out to professionals that were from my home town. I thought that would be an interesting pen pal since we have at least one thing in common coming from the same area. Even though I have not got a response back I feel confident that I will soon and hopefully it is from one of the people that is from my area. Throughout the process of reaching out to certain people I found it easier than I thought it would be. At first I was overthinking it and wondering how in the world would I even do this and what I would even say and how would I say it. I think just the early process of reaching out even though I have yet to get a response I think has been very beneficial and seeing how I could reach certain people in the future for future opportunities. This assignment and this process is better than I initially imagined and I’m glad I took the first step in reaching out. I look forward to getting a response hopefully in the near future and creating a relationship with my pen pal and hopefully learning about whatever they are willing to give me. This has been a great experience and I don’t think it has even started yet and I look forward to what it brings.
