Andriy Slynchuk has described eleven things Internet users do that may be illegal. Review what the author says and write a paragraph describing the five most serious violations and why you think those offenses are serious.
The five most serious violations are collecting information about children, bullying/trolling, faking an online identity, sharing passwords, addresses, or photos of others, and illegal searches. In any situation, I believe the most important thing to do is to protect our children. Collecting any information that could potentially harm them or put them at risk is illegal for a reason and it should be seen as a top priority when it comes to protecting our youth. Bullying/Trolling is also a very serious violation. The information posted online about other individuals has great potential to cause hurt/harm. Faking an online identity can cause a multitude of problems, for example someone pretending to be a close friend and asking to borrow money could lead to scams, it could even ruin someone’s reputation. Sharing passwords, addresses, or photos of others can lead to very dangerous situations. Password sharing can lead to account hacking and addresses shared can potentially harm an individual in cases of stalking. Illegal searches on the internet can provide criminals with information on how to commit certain illegal activities.
